Is that Members of European Parliament are active and our MPs are inactive? Few days before, Licia Ronzulli, an Italian member of the European Union’s Parliament, sat poised and focused in her parliamentary seat. She was actively participating in parliamentary works. Her being mother to newly born baby has not stopped her from work. Her right hand raised in a vote, her left hand turning a page on her desk, and wrapped around her body, a newborn baby asleep in a sling. I am moved. She is a Supermom and a great Parliamentarian too. I salute Madam Ronzulli and i do believe all Italians as well as Europeans must be proud of her works.
I will like to pinch our parliamentarians who sleep in parliament sessions. When work of parliament is on, our parliamentarians are least bothered of interest the issue has. They try to remain aloof from the surroundings and start taking naps. Its not that they are unaware of cameras. They know that people may look them. But still they have greater beliefs in their power which they think will shield them all the time. So getting embarassed is of no value to them. They believe in their strength more than their works which should be in the House.
My message to our Parliamentarians is that they should be active and alert. They can take breaks for getting recharged or else can move out of the Parliamentary House. But do not insult us as we the one who choose you to represent us. Secondly, people of world are looking at you. So we voters of India do not want to get embarassed. Though the session is boring and of not interest for you, still do remain awake. You must be irresponsible otherwise. But at least 'Show' that you are responsible people's representatives.
What's your say??
