When accused were asked, they said that she used to keep quiet whenever they used to say ‘sexy’ to her. They cleared that she used to take it as compliment. But the act of hers provoked them to do sex with her thinking that she knows about their feelings for her.
(These are facts cited from many cases happened in the past.)
Question arises whether she (victim) was right?
First, let’s see the meaning of the word ‘Sexy’. Sexy means highly appealing or interesting or tending to arouse sexual desire or interest. Online Dictionary says that it’s a slang which means popular but unauthorised word. I will like to stress on unauthorised word.
Few days back, Indian National Commission of Women chairperson Mamta Sharma said, ‘women should take the word ‘sexy’ as a compliment’.
Suppose this case would have gone to Mamta Sharma as she is chairman, what Mamta would have done? As per Mamta, that lady is right. Even I say that lady is right. But then what Mamta would have been able to do for this lady is the question?
On this, I will like to pinch Mamta Sharma. If she is the chairman of National Commission of Women then she should know different classes of society present in our country. She should know the inside out and outside in issues women was having and will have in India. She should know the overall Indian men’s mentality. I do believe she is in her own world. She is not sticked to Indian women’s issues as per the requirement for the post.
I do believe this statement of Mamta will lend not only her but our indian women in trouble. So the message goes to Mamta that she should take back her words. She may not be struggling but there are thousands of beautiful women who are struggling to live. She should say sorry to crores of women who are struggling in this Male dominating culture. Secondly, hereafter she should do responsible statements as chairman of National Commission or else leave the chair.
What's your say??
