From People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) protests to numerous demonstrations by other animal-rights activists around the world, the objection to slaughtering of animals and the urge to go vegetarian was showed in various creative ways. Many Models step forward to be with PETA to promote vegetarianism.
Way back, Hongkong actress Maggie Q made a comeback specifically for PETA Asia Pacific. Telling us to ‘Spice Up our Life’, she posed nearly nude in a bed of crimson chili peppers. We can spice up our lives in winter or rainy season. Imagine us, spicing up our life in summer season. Well, I believe, we will become too hot than Maggie. And PETA will like to burnup senses by our posed photoshoots. But I will like to tell PETA that we will not demote us for your campaigns.
I agree with PETA. It’s true that eating animal’s meat will not make us healthy. But meat of any animal makes us suffer with many diseases. But PETA is spreading the word which is good but by demoting a woman which is bad.
PETA’ s one of the campaign was with NBA scout Bonnie-Jill Laflin. She is the sports personality to go naked for PETA's campaign to go vegetarian. Laflin's tagline was "Want My Body? Go Vegetarian". I will like to pinch on this.
We should promote vegetarianism. It’s our primary duty to save animals. But no one said to demote or degrade woman for campaigns. The tagline of Laflin is lowering down moral values of woman. By these types of campaigns, common women face problems for which PETA will not be able to reach. So my message to PETA is not to demote woman’s worth. Each woman is precious and valuable to the society in her own way. And do come up with campaigns which show creativity but no nudity in it.
‘Do Not Promote Nudity while Promoting Vegetarianism’ is the one line message to PETA.
